Pool People works with dependable technicians who enjoy working outdoors and solving mechanical problems. This role combines pool maintenance with equipment awareness, allowing technicians to operate their own service routes while keeping pools clean and equipment systems running properly.

Technicians operate as independent contractors and manage their own routes. Pool People provides onboarding guidance and support to help new technicians get up to speed quickly.

Typical route earnings range from $3,500–$4,500 per month, depending on route size and number of pools serviced.

Technicians typically service 40–50 pools on a route, maintaining water quality and ensuring equipment systems are operating properly. Each stop usually includes basic cleaning, water testing, and checking pumps, filters, and valves.

Contractors manage their own routes and handle their pools independently. Most of the day is spent working outdoors traveling between pools and completing service visits.

Pool People currently has openings for both full routes and partial routes.

A full route provides a consistent weekly workload and income opportunity. A partial route is ideal for technicians looking for flexible work or those who want to start smaller and grow into a full route over time.

Many technicians begin with a partial route and expand their route as they gain experience.

Most technicians begin their route whenever they prefer. Some start early in the morning, while others handle personal responsibilities before heading out.

During the day technicians travel between pools on their route, removing debris, testing water chemistry, and checking equipment to make sure everything is running properly.

Because the work is independent and outdoors, many technicians listen to music or podcasts while completing their route.

At the end of the day the route is complete and customers' pools are clean and ready to enjoy.

Technicians should have a pickup truck or similar vehicle capable of carrying equipment and chemicals used for pool service.

The work also requires lifting items such as salt bags or chemical buckets, the ability to swim, and normal color vision for water testing.

Technicians should be comfortable working outdoors and interacting with homeowners when needed.
